Abstract

Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic with a low prevalence of extrapyramidal side-effects. The use of this antipsychotic in Parkinson’s disease is still controversial.

We describe a 59 year-old bipolar patient with Parkinson’s disease non-responding to conventional antimanic drugs successfully treated with risperidone.
