It is not clear that this disorder will be primary or secondary to psychiatric diseases. Many of the alterations neuroendocrines of the FM are present in the depression. Female patients present high rates of somatization and some authors have proposed that the disease could be considered a depression somatized, and other approach the disease the conversion disorders; the boldest include it between the disorders facticios.

The results seem to confirm that exist psychological factors involved in the development of the FM. In spite of all, the treatment is insufficient and it does not avoid that yet we continue with many doubts on its etiology. The future will have to clarify many questions.
